How to Choose the Best Lyric Video Production Company
Search 'lyric video service' and you'll find thousands of options from $5 gig sellers to boutique studios. Price tells you surprisingly little about quality. Here's what to actually check before trusting anyone with your song.
Check the showreel — for range, not just highlights
Anyone can show three good videos. Look for a deep showreel (dozens of videos) across multiple styles and genres. Watch full videos, not just previews: does the sync hold up for the whole song? Do different videos look genuinely different, or is it the same template recolored? A studio that publishes 75+ full videos is showing you their floor, not their ceiling.
Ask these questions before paying
Professional studios answer all of these instantly. Hesitation on any of them is your red flag.
- How many revisions are included, and what do extra ones cost?
- What's the delivery time — and is faster delivery available?
- Do I get the video in 4K? What about a vertical version?
- Do I own full rights to the finished video?
- What files do you need from me to start?
- Can you match the style of my cover art?
Red flags that predict a bad experience
- No portfolio of full-length videos — only short previews.
- Prices that seem impossible ($10–20 for a 'custom' video means a template).
- No revision policy in writing.
- Stock text effects you recognize from other videos.
- No reviews or testimonials from named clients.
- Vague answers about who actually owns the final files.
What working with a professional studio looks like
A good studio asks about your song, your vision and your references before quoting. You send your audio, lyrics and artwork; they confirm style direction; you get a draft, give feedback, and receive final files for every platform you need — with clear communication at every step.
That's exactly how we've worked for 7+ years with artists and labels including Vevo, Epidemic Sound and Agavond Records. Watch our showreel, read our reviews, and message us with your questions — we answer all of them.
